| Busy packing my stuff, update tomorrow.
This is the last day that I travel around Seoul. Just fooled around today. The Last stop of today is the supermarket. Bought some snacks back to HK.
 The Olympic Park
 Night View of Seoul
N'Seoul TowerThe morning and the afternoon were just nothing special. However, the funniest thing happened in the evening. I was chitchating with Mary, the hostel owner, and she told me to befriend her daughter, when she knew that I'm single. (LOL~) Soo-ree, her daughter, happened to be around tonight because she was fixing the computers. As a(n outdated) computer geek, I tried to offer my help. But Soo-ree is a really shy girl (and I mean REALLY). When I talked to her for the first time, she barely responsed to me (maybe because She doesn't speak English well). I was like, OK, at least I tried. But then later I realised she speaks Japanese, so I used the only few Japanese lines that I know to start another conversation with her. Well that worked a bit and she started to speak up. I totally went back to "teacher mode" and spoke really slowly in English and as simple as possible so that she could understand me. That was fun. | | |
| OMFG, I met Rain today!
Not this , but the one which comes from the sky! LOL.
OK, so today's weather was not so good. It was raining for the whole morning, and (luckily) it was cloudy for the rest of the day.
返香港唔使搭飛機,搭地鐵就得,不過淨係去到上水~ In the afternoon I went to this district Ewha, which totally makes me think of Harajuku of Tokyo, but selling MK clothes. And you can even find Megabox there!
This Megabox totally sucks! Later I went to Yeouido Park, which is right next to Han River. It was a really nice park, with lovers cycling, children playing kites, guys practicing baseball... If only the weather could be better.
Beautiful park and river And in the evening, I went to a public bathhouse with Yohei, a Japanese guy I met at the hostel. What's interesting is that people actually sleep in jjimjilbang, the public area inside the bathhouse (they can stay overnight if they wish). I would rather sleep in my own bed.
P.S. I bought CDs of SNSD, hahaha~

| Mostly did shopping today. I finally managed to buy something today at Dongdaemun. It's like the MK of Seoul, but I don't mind becoming MK in seoul, lol.
What I hate most is that every shopkeeper talks to me to try to get some business, of course in Korean. (I think they would pull me into their shops if they could.) I was so fed up that I chose to leave without going through the whole mall. (I'm still totally going to leave even if they speak English to me.)
Taken at the Design Plaza & Park (partially opened) near Dongdaemun

| Not literally, because no translation exists. There were less people than I thought who understands English here... Anyway, body language is more than enough.
But I was totally lost in the Myeongdong & Namdaemun area. I thought having the map in Lonely Planet and another Guide book would be enough, but I was wrong. And the maps you can find on the streets are totally not to scale. So the moral of the story is: go to the tourist information center and get a proper map.
The palace that I visited (What's the name? I can't remember!) So I did some window shopping today, and I found out that every brand is selling the same kind of clothing, mainly: hoodies. And nobody wears hoodies in Hong Kong.
(Nobody, nobody but you~ *clap*clap) <----- Nobody of WonderGirls
And they are not cheap, so I didn't buy anything. I need to ask some locals where I can get some fashionable and most importantly cheap ones.
A crowded street in MyeongDong (Makes me think of 西門町) My story of being a Korean continues today. I was asked the way 3 times on the street."Sorry, I don't speak Korean." x 3. And when I was window shopping, there were two occasions the salesperson spoke Korean to me. "Sorry, I don't speak Korean." x 2. I must have blended-in really smoothly, LOL. (Editor note: The writer started to get crazy at this point and you may want to ignore the following.) Now that I have the Korean look, I should learn the language too, so that I can hook up with some pretty Korean gals, wahahah..... Taeyeon, Yoona, Seohyun, please wait for me! (Who are they? Google keyword: SNSD)
